Day 13 & 14: E-Merged

So my irregularity started... well, can't blame me completely!

Apart from the blog's popularity...I had some heavy duty work yesterday and couldn't sqeeze out any time. So lets merge the days.... as a compensation I will recommend two movies....!!!

As if it matters....

Anyway, Today's Movie no 1 - Ink.

An absolutely surreal movie, in every mm of the film, with a lot of soul in it. From the first moment, the story will keep driving you crazy with its limitless imagination and a dreamy cinematography. Don't let your confusion throw you off... because, you are in for a treat... both visually and storywise.

Its a story about a world, not conceivable by the normal people.. because its on the other side of life. People die and carry their sins and good deeds along with them. That's why the good spirits get to be Storytellers, who give good dreams to people... and the bad spirits get to be Incubi, who torment people with nightmares and keep people in an illusion of self-righteousness. But there are also the Drifters, who don't know where they belong.

The story is about such a drifter Ink, who steals a little girl while she is sleeping, leaving her body in a coma, to be accepted as an Incubi. The storytellers, unable to protect the little girl, tries to bring her father near her, who is completely consumed by his work success and has completely alienated himself from his daughter.

Rest of the story is about how these different people choose their different paths affecting each others' lives like a strange mystical clockwork.

The next movie I am going to pick..is of completely different mood - Zathura.

Well, I guess its a rather popular movie, but I still want to recommend it, since it's not a watch-only-once type.

In the lines of its inspiration Jumanji, two quarreling little brothers, find a strange board game named Zathura - A Space Adventure, which takes them into space, literally. The brothers already suffer from attention issues from their separated parents, which contributes to their seemingly common hatred to each other.

As the game starts getting tougher and tensed, as the chances of getting back to home (or with the home) gets slimmer... they start quarreling even more. The rest of the story is how the strange and perilious journey teaches them to come out with the love they don't often show but share deeply, and learn to be brothers.

Its a lovely movie, in terms of childish innocence and imagination, and teaches everyone, a kid or an elder, how to sort out the petty differences to make our lives .. just a little less lonely....

Love you all.....

Have a great weekend..!
